The Cloud 2.0 Mindset Shift
Roundtable Discussion with Mark Ardito & Kelsey Hightower
The idea is simple: Gather a small, select group of enterprise CIO leaders for honest, practical, and important discussions with VP of Modernization, Mark Ardito, around today’s most pressing topics. The first topic we’ll tackle, as we believe that we are finally making the turn and heading into the next evolution of cloud computing, is Cloud 2.0. The initial idea of cloud computing for CIOs was once breathtaking. The promise: An unlimited amount of storage with an ecosystem of servers that had the ability to burst with additional capacity on demand. All the while, nothing needed to be purchased or installed because you simply rented this from a cloud provider. Sound familiar? Today, it’s clear we fell far short of that promise. Instead, CIOs still bear the responsibility of employing engineers to run and configure an infrastructure we don’t even own ourselves. So how can we, as CIOs, break free of this cycle?

To ensure that each roundtable gathering is a productive and impactful discussion, participating CIOs will be asked a set of qualifying questions to make sure that everyone involved is coming in with some type of commonality, whether it is the pain points they are experiencing, where they are in their cloud journey, or seeking guidance on the technology they are leveraging.
